Chris Lonegan, '07

2006: Lonegan, a hardworking midfielder that was chosen as a captain for his senior season, played in all 20 of the Saints games this year. The North Yarmouth, ME native scored two goals to bring his career total to five, one of which proved to be the game-winning tally against North Country rival Potsdam State on September 30th in a 2-1 win. Lonegan was also honored by the Liberty League, as he was named to the 2006 All-Academic team.

 

2005: In his junior season, Lonegan busted out offensively for the Saints and added both speed and depth coming off the bench. In twenty games, he scored three goals and posted three assists for a total of nine points. Lonegan was selected as an All-Conference Honorable Mention, and will serve as a captain for the Saints in 2006. As an active member of the campus community, Lonegan serves as the treasurer of the Outing Club and is a SLU Buddy.

2004: Lonegan saw action in 11 games in his rookie season.

At Greenly High School

Chris Lonegan played soccer, lacrosse, and was on the alpine skiing team. He was first team All-State in soccer, and was captain of the soccer and ski team. Lonegan was named MVP of his high school soccer team. Also notable, he was a three-year All-State skiing athlete.

Academically, Lonegan was an honors student. He is a member of the Buddies Mentoring program at St. Lawrence, as well as the Alpine Ski Club. Lonegan is a Biology major with an Economics minor.
