At Norman
Mbong received praise for both his athletic talents, but also his prowess in the classroom. He was awarded the Frontier County Soccer Association Scholarship, was an active participant in his class government, and was a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. His activeness in the classroom is only matched by his talents on the soccer field, where Mbong was a member of the Oklahoma state championship team four times. He was named All-State, participated in 1998 as an Olympic Development Player, and captained his Varsity team in 2005-2006. While at St. Lawrence, Mbong plans to study Biology/Pre-Dentistry.
