Axel Galeano '07
Midfield

Woodhaven, NY
Brooklyn Friends School

2007: Galeano played and started in 16 of the 18 games for the Saints, tallying three assists in his final year at St. Lawrence, two of which came in the Saints' win over neighboring rival Clarkson, while the other helped to tie the game against Liberty League opponent RPI in September, which the Scarlet and Brown eventually won. Because of the impact he has had on the team both in his senior year and in his career, the Woodhaven, NY co-captain was a 2007 Liberty League First-Team All Conference selection.

2006: Galeano continued to be a leader on and off the field for the Saints in his senior season, captaining the team and attending the 2006 NCAA Leadership Conference. The Woodhaven, NY native was chosen as a Regional All America and First Team All-Conference forward. He was second on the team in scoring with 12 points (4g,4a), and he scored two clutch game-winning goals. He tallied a season-high five points against North Country rival Clarkson on October 14th (2 goals, 1 assist). His 12 points and 2 game-winning goals are new career-highs.

2005: After waiting two years for a chance to show what he could do on the field, Galeano took full advantage of becoming a starter for the Saints in his junior year. He started in eighteen games, took 29 shots, and tied for the team lead with five goals. Axel's most clutch moments came in the post-season, as the Woodhaven, NY native scored both goals in the Liberty League Tournament championship game, leading the squad to a 2-1 victory over Union College. His consistency and efforts earned Galeano captain's status for the 2006 season.

2004: Galeano came off the bench in 15 games, and took 2 shots this season for the Saints.

2003: In his rookie season with the Saints, Galeano did not appear in any games.
