Tom Wopperer '09
Guard
Manlius, NY
Fayetteville-Manlius High School

2007-08: For the second straight season, Wopperer led the Saints in total points, scoring 323 in 26 games, averaging 12.4 per contest, leading St. Lawrence to their first Liberty League regular season title since 2003-2004. A consistent starter for the Scarlet and Brown, the Manlius, NY native tallied the most points of any Saint in nine contests, including four conference games. He was named conference Co-Guard of the Week in January for guiding St. Lawrence to two wins against Oswego and Elmira and was also named to the Babson All-Tournament Team after leading St. Lawrence to a 72-63 win over Bates College with 25 points, a season-high. Wopperer was rewarded for his efforts by being a conference honorable mention this season. Wopperer's guidance extended off the court as well, as he was the only Saint to be named to the conference All-Academic Team in 2008.

2006-07: Wopperer's sophomore campaign was even more impressive than his first year, as the Manlius, NY native played in all 29 games and earned starts in 28 of them. He posted both a career and team-high of 353 points to lead the Saints to the Liberty League tournament championship and the second round of the NCAA tournament. The guard, who averaged almost 29 minutes a game, accumulated the highest points for St. Lawrence in nine games, including the Saints' win against Hamilton in the conference tournament championship contest. His efforts throughout the season helped him earn Liberty League Guard of the Week accolades twice in 2006-2007. Wopperer also played in the Open division of the Empire State Games in the summer following his sophomore year.

2005-06: As a freshman, Wopperer played in all 25 of the Saints games, starting 23 of them. Averaging 29 minutes a game, Wopperer posted a consistent 11 points and five reboudns a game. He also shot 85 percent from the free throw line.
