2007-08: In his senior year, Kurtz saw playing time in each of the Saints' 26 games and provided depth to the team, which won the Liberty League regular season title. The Newnan, GA native had a career-high 76 points in 2007-2008, while also grabbing 83 boards, six blocks and three steals. The forward shot 52 percent from the floor and had 11 assists to close out his career.
2005-06: Kurtz played in 23 games as a sophomore, tallying 34 points. The forward from Newnan, GA was .500 from the field, and accumulated 12 assists, 14 rebounds, four steals, and four blocks to help the Saints to a 13-12 record. Kurtz played in 13 of the 14 conference games for St. Lawrence, and his efforts helped lead the team to a conference finish of 11-3 and a league tournament spot.
2004-2005: In his rookie season, Kurtz played in 22 of the 25 St. Lawrence games. His efforts also earned him three starts on the season. Kurtz used his 6'9 frame to accumulate 52 rebounds and four blocks on the season. He also shot 16-30 from the field for a .533 shooting percentage.

At Our Lady of Mercy High School
On his high school basketball team, Kurtz was All-Area as a senior. He also earned All-State AAU honors his junior and senior years. Kurtz earned the most improved award for mathmatics in high school, and has not yet decided on a major at St. Lawrence.
