2006-07: Alex Petizian took over as the Saints' starting goaltender in December and played in 22 straight to end the year. He was the ECAC Hockey All Rookie Goalie and the second team All League goaltender and also earned Freshman All America honors from Inside College Hockey and was the goalie on the USCHO All Rookie team. He finished the year with a 2.29 goals against average, the 4th best in Saint hockey history and had a .916 save percentage, which is ninth all-time in program history. He had two shutouts, recording a 4-0 win over Wayne State in his first collegiate start and a 19-save blanking of Colgate, and stopped three penalty shots during the season. He had a 19-9-1 record in 29 decisions.

Pre-SLU: An outstanding goaltender for the best Northwood Prep team in that school's history, Alex Petizian had a 2.00 goals against average with a .930 save percetnage last year. He helped the team to the St. Andrews and Culver tournament championships. The son of John and Nicoletta Petizian, Alex also played baseball.
