2006-07: An assistant captain for the Saints as a junior, Justin played in six games, starting five, and finished the ssaon with a 3.25 goals against average, a .892 save percentage and a 2-2-1 record. He had 21 saves in the win over RIT and earned a win in his first ECAC Hockey start with 32 saves in a 3-2 win over Quinnipiac. He also started at Michigan State and UMass.-Lowell.
2005-06: Justin tied the SLU record for appearances as a sophomore with 37 and had the second-most single season victories for a Saint goalie with 20 as he started 36 games and played in 37. He finished the year with a 2.90 goals against average and a .888 save percentage. He had 821 saves in 2152 minutes and picked up his first win of the year in a 2-1 overtime win at Wisconsin in game two of the season. He had his first collegiate shutout in a 3-0 win at Union on Jan. 14 and also shut out Yale in Canton in February. He was a member of the ECACHL All Academic team.
2004-05: An outstanding athlete with a great work ethic, Justin Pesony will push to see more action
as a sophomore after a solid rookie season in goal for the Saints. Pesony appeared in seven games as backup to record-setting goaltender Mike McKenna, and compiled a 2-2 record with a 3.67 goals against average and a .895 save percentage.
The league and team Most Valuable Player for the Battleford Stars, Justin Pesony was a two-time All Star. He had a 2.48 goals against average and a .918 save percentage last season at Battleford. He led the Drayton Valley Thunder to the Alberta Junior Hockey League championship in 2001-2002.
Personal: The son of Marilyn Auriat and Mel Pesony, Justin attended Leduc Composite High School. He enjoys cycling, fishing and watching movies in his free time.
