2007-08: While he had a goal-scoring slump early in the season, Mike McKenzie came on strong as a sophomore and scored five of his seven goals in the second half of the season. He had a two-goal game in an 8-3 win at Dartmouth and had a three point night, all on assists in a 6-5 win at New Hampshire. He finished the year with seven goals and 13 assists and was fifth on the Saint scoring chart with 20 points.

 

2006-07: Mike McKenzie had a tremendous rookie season for the Saints despite missing eight games with an injury. McKenzie, who was second in the country in game-winning goals with seven, a Saint record, scored 12 goals and assisted on 13 others to finish with 25 points, tied for fourth on the Saint scoring chart. He scored the game winners in the first quarterfinal game against Colgate and in the third place game, finishing his first collegiate playoffs with four goals and an assist. He was a key player for the Saints on the power play. He scored his first collegiate goal and it was the game winner against RIT.

 

Pre-SLU: The 2006 MVP and leading scorer in the OPJHL, Mike McKenzie led the St. Michael's Buzzers to two league championships. He had 39 goals and 38 assists for 77 points in 40 games last season. He also played lacrosse. Mike is the son of Bob and Cindy McKenzie.
