2005-06: John played in four games and had a 2.47 goals against average with a .879 save percentage. He made his first collegiate start against Quinnipiac and made 20 saves in a 3-1 loss that included an empty net goal.
2004-05: John Hallas red-shirted as a freshman and played in one game for the Saints in his first year of competition..
Personal: The son of David and Linda Hallas, John attended St. Petersburg High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. A magna cum laude graduate, he was a National Merit Scholar. He put up outstanding numbers for the Tampa Bay Jr. Lightning and backstopped the team to an
18-0-1 record in his final season. He was a member of the USA Hockey Select 17 Southeast team in 2002.
