SAINTS VIDEO BROADCASTS ON B2 NETWORKS IN 2007-08

B2 Networks and St. Lawrence University Director of Athletics Margie Strait today announced a multi-year partnership that will bring Saints ice hockey to the premier provider of broadband broadcasting.  The partnership will begin this fall with home games for both men's and women's ice hockey being shown live on B2 Networks.

B2 coverage from Appleton Arena will start with the women's series against UConn Oct. 19-20. The first men's game available will be the game at Clarkson on Oct. 20 and the first B2 home game men's broadcast will be the Dartmouth game on Nov. 2.

With the addition of St. Lawrence, B2 Networks has partnerships with three members of ECAC Hockey for both men's and women's ice hockey; St. Lawrence, Clarkson, Brown and RPI. St. Lawrence's away games at B2 partner institutions will also be broadcast live and be available to fans worldwide.

"We are excited about the opportunity to expand our audience for our men’s and women’s hockey programs through our partnership with B2 Networks," said Strait. "Partnering with B2 Networks enables us to provide a higher-quality video broadcast to more fans at a very reasonable cost and will also allow our fans to see our men’s and women’s teams in action in several away games against teams which also are associated with B2 Networks."

By teaming with B2 Networks, St. Lawrence ice hockey will be available for viewing by a worldwide audience. Live hockey games will be aired through the school's athletic website http://www.stlawu.edu/sports/index.html as well as http://www.b2livetv.com. Fans wanting to watch Saints hockey via B2 Networks will need a high-speed Internet connection and a current version of Microsoft Windows Media Player. Games will be sold on an individual basis for $6 ( US), and a season pass to view all St. Lawrence men's and women's ice hockey games broadcast on B2 Networks for $50 (US) will become available in the near future.

With 34 home games between men’s and women’s hockey scheduled to be broadcast and a minimum of three road games, the season ticket price is approximately $1.35 per game. Home playoff games will also be broadcast via B2 Networks, but are not part of the season pass program. St. Lawrence will continue to offer the free radio broadcast of all men’s games and selected women’s games through its web site.

"We are excited to announce that St. Lawrence University has joined B2 Networks as a partner for their hockey programs," stated Richard Brosal, B2 Networks Executive Vice President for Business Operations and Marketing. "With both Saints hockey teams making the NCAA tournament last season, St. Lawrence fans should be excited to watch the their teams live in ECAC Hockey League action on B2 Networks."

SAINTS GAIN SECOND GAME ON ESPNU

Sept. 7: St. Lawrence University’s men’s hockey team, which will kick off the collegiate hockey season on ESPNU with a 4 p.m. Nov. 7 game against arch-rival Clarkson at Appleton Arena, will appear on ESPNU a second time in 2007-08.

The Saint game at Dartmouth, originally scheduled for Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. has been moved to Sunday, Jan. 13 at 4 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPNU.

“We are obviously very pleased to have the opportunity to play nationally televised games on ESPNU,” said Saint coach Joe Marsh. “It is great exposure for our program and the league, and as the official ESPNU opener for college hockey, the St. Lawrence-Clarkson game will give the nation a chance to see one of the all-time great rivalry games. We were more than happy to move our game at Dartmouth back a day and that should be another good one for the fans.”
