2003-04: Whalley began
his second season with the Saints tying for 20th place in
the SLU Invitational, where he shot a 159. He also tied
for 69th in the Williams Invitational, with a total of 165.
Mike finished 29th in the UCAA tournament in the fall and
was 16th in the Hamilton Spring Invitational. He capped
his sophomore season with a win in the windy SLU Spring
Invitational, shooting 77.
2002-03: Mike
Whalley, playing for the SLU Brown team, had an impressive
collegiate debut, shooting two rounds of 77 to finish tied
for 10th in the St. Lawrence Invitational. He shot 78 and
helped the Saints to the win in the Skidmore Invitational
on Sept. 10. He finished the fall portion of the schedule
with a 78.3 stroke average in six rounds. A member of the
NCAA team, he shot rounds of 85, 80, 81 and 81 in the tournament.
He shot his low round of his rookie season at the Hamilton
Invitational with a 74 and finished his first season on
the golf team with a 79.06 stroke average.
Mike is also a member of the Saint squash
team.
At
The Holderness School
Mike was a member of the soccer
team in addition to playing golf and squash and being on the ski team. He captain
both the golf and ski teams at Holderness.
