SAINTS THIRD AT WILLIAMS INVITATIONAL

Sept. 23: Ben von Reyn had his first top ten finish as a collegian, tying for ninth with a 150 total in the 99-golfer field and helped the Saints to a solid third place finish as a team in the 19-team Williams Invitational on Sunday.

 

The Saint sophomore shot back-to-back rounds of four-over par 75 on the Taconic Golf Course at Williams for his best tournament finish.

 

The Saint team shot the fourth best team round of the tournament on Sunday with a four-score total of 301 and jumped from eighth to third in the team standings. Skidmore won the team title with a 590 total with Williams second at 607, the Saints third at 611 and Middlebury fourth at 614.

 

Chris Mudge shot the low Saint round in the tournament on Sunday with a 73 and finished tied for 23 rd overall with a 153 total. L.B. Haney was thired for 27 th with rounds of 76 and 79 for a 155 total while Wes Ballantyne and Max Davis each tied for 34 th with 156 totals, Ballantyne carding 80-76 and Davis 79-77.

 

The Saint men will return to action at Skidmore Saturday and Sunday in the Liberty League championships.
