FRENCH 84TH IN NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Nov. 22: St. Lawrence University sophomore Jon French ran the 8000 meter cross country course at Hanover College in 26:33.2 to finish 84th in the 2003 NCAA Division III men's cross country championships on Saturday.

French, the only Saint to qualify for the championship, moved up 36 places from his finish a year ago when he was 120th. The field included 215 starters and the race was won by Josh Moen of Wartburg in 24:34.4.
