SAINTS 2ND IN NYSCTC CHAMPIONSHIP Nov. 3: Senior Erik Donohoe turned in one of the top times in course history on the Saratoga Spa State Park course Saturday, finishing second overall and helping the Saint team to a second place finish in the 2007 NYSCTC Cross Country Championships.
Donohoe and Hamilton’s Peter Kosgei had another outstanding race at the front of the pack with Kosgei winning in a course record 24:50 and Donohoe finishing second in 25:06. It was the second time that Donohoe has finished second in the NYSCTC Championships, repeating his sophomore finish. He did not run in the race due to injury as a freshman and as a junior.
Eli Howard joined Donohoe in the top ten with a tenth place finish in 25:45 while John Ostler finished 12 th in 25:50, Terrance Fox was 19 th in 26:08 and David Lloyd completed the Saint scoring with a 25 th place finish in 26:17. Geneseo won the team title with a 56 point total while the Saints were second with 68 and RIT was third with 73. Cortland was a distant fourth in the 15-team field with 113 points.
Jeremy Beaudette was the sixth finisher for the Saints in 32 nd place in 26:31 while Tyler Ludington completed the Saint top seven with a 35 th place finish in 26:33. Other Saint finishers included Mark Burnham in 36 th in 26:35, Brandon Kenny in 40 th in 26:43, and Daniel Ramsey in 66 th in 27:15.
