John Barron

A nationally recognized small college lkineman while a St. Lawrence undergraduate, Jack Barron was an honorable mention Little All America in 1946, named as one of the best guards in the East in the 1947 Footall Yearbook and was a two-time winner of the John H. Burger Memorial Tropy.

 

He was captain of the 1949 team and scored a touchdown in a 13-7 win over Champlain. He was a four-year starter on both offense and defense and was named to numerous all opponent teams during his career.

 

Following his graduation from St. Lawrence he became an agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, serving as a special agent in several offices throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. He retired in 1979 and earned numerous awards and citations relating to internal security matters, counter-intelligence and criminal cases during his carer. He also served as a supervisor of police training in the Albany office for two years.
