Speth, Knull, 1982 Football Team Are 2007 Inductees Two outstanding individual athletes and one of just two football teams in St. Lawrence history to go undefeated in the regular season will be inducted into the St. Lawrence University Athletic Hall of Fame in ceremonies Sept. 29 th.
Wendy Hall Speth ‘95, an All America field hockey player who also starred in ice hockey and lacrosse, and three-sport star Gale Knull ’72 will bring the total of individual inductees to 178 while the record-setting 1982 football team will become the tenth team to be inducted.
The induction luncheon will be held at 12:30 on Sept. 29 in Eben Holden Center and is open to the public. Tickets for the luncheon are $20 and reservations should be made by contacting Cheryl Kennedy at 315-229-5418.
The 2007 induction is the 29 th for the St. Lawrence Athletic Hall of Fame. Inductees span the decades from the early 1900s through the 1990s. Hall of Fame rules require that prospective new members have completed their St. Lawrence career at least ten years prior to induction.
