2006: McBride played on special teams and at back-up linebacker.

At Mechanicville High School

 McBride participated in football and both indoor and outdoor track and field. A two-year varsity football captain, McBride excelled at linebacker and offensive guard. He was named Class C First-Team All-League at linebacker his junior and senior year, First-Team at offensive guard his junior year and Second-Team at guard his senior season. He was also a scholar athlete in 2004 and 2005 and a National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete.
