2003- Heffler
continued her consistent offensive drive in her senior season, scoring
8 goals and a team-leading 13 assists for 29 total points. She represented
the Saints at the North-South All Star game, and also earned recognition
as first team Regional All-America, first team All-State, and first
team All-UCAA. She is the Saints all-time leader in assists with 38
and is among the top goal scorers in history with 48.
UCAA and ECAC Rookie
of the Year in field hockey as a freshman, Jen earned first team All UCAA honors
and regional All America as a sophomore. Her nine goals and four assists tied
for third in Saint scoring last year and she had three game winners. Her sister
Missy played lacrosse for the Saints and her brother Eric was an All America goaltender
and Hobey Baker Award finalist for the men's hockey team.
Jenny opened
her junior season with three goals and an assist in the win over Oneonta and was
named UCAA Player of the Week. Jenny was also named first-team All State. She
was the Saints' leading scorer with 17 goals and eight assists for 52 points,
is in the top 20 nationally in points, points per game and goals and is 11th in
the country in goals per game. She was also named first team All UCAA and was
selected as a member of the UCAA All Tourney team in the ECAC championship. She
earned all academic honors as a psychology major.
