The Newell Field House is scheduled to open in
the fall of 2001 and will give the entire St. Lawrence
community and outstanding facility for athletics
and recreation. Included in the new field house
are a glassed-in fitness center featuring the latest
in equipment; a three-story climbing wall, an athletic
training room and at its center, a 200-meter indoor
track and field complex with five competition tennis
courts in the center of the track. The new facility
will house the Saint indoor track and field teams
and will also be the winter and inclement weather
home of the Saint men's and women's tennis teams.
