SAINT ATHLETES ENJOY NEW FACILITIES

St. Lawrence University's athletic facilities have undergone a dramatic facelift in the last few years, an on-going project which will give the Saints one of the finest small college facilities in the nation when it is complete in the near future.

Completed projects include the new Leckonby Stadium/Weeks Field/Merrick-Pinkard Track complex; a new softball field; the new squash courts in the Leithead Field House; extensive renovations of Appleton Arena, the home of the Division I men's and women's ice hockey programs; North Country Field, an all-weather turf field and a new coaches' office complex within the Augsbury Center, which is the hub of the Saint athletic program.

Scheduled for completion by August 2001, is the Newell Field House which will include a 200 meter indoor track, five tennis courts, a training room, a new fitness center and a climbing wall

. Other projects include a new soccer stadium, a new baseball field and renovations to the Burkman Gymnasium.
