The Augsbury Physical Education Center was opened
in 1972 and like the rest of the Saint athletic
facilities, has undergone renovation with more in
future plans.
The Augsbury Center is the hub of the Saint athletic
program and includes offices for coaches and the
St. Lawrence Athletic Administration. It also contains
the Frank and Lee Augsbury Natatorium, the home
of the Saint men's and women's swim teams, and the
Burkman Gymnasium, the home court for the Saint
men's and women's basketball teams and the volleyball
team.
Other Augsbury facilities include an athletic training
room, locker rooms, equipment maintenance and storage
areas and it currently houses a fitness area and
the athletic training center, both of which will
be located in the Newell Field House, which will
adjoin the Augsbury Center on the west when it is
completed this fall.
Also adjoining the Augsbury Center is the Leithead
Field House, which includes an indoor track and
an artificial turf infield and houses the Saint
squash center.
