Mandatory Federal Loan Exit Counseling
The U.S. Department of Education regulations require that students who have borrowed a federal loan complete exit loan counseling when they leave St. Lawrence University. Letters will soon be sent to all tentative May / August 2011 graduates' Student Mail Room (SMR) boxes informing them of their estimated
loan debt while at St. Lawrence University.
Note: If you have a Federal Perkins Loan and a Federal Stafford or Direct Loan, you must complete
Two On Line Exit Counseling Sessions.

EACH SESSION WILL TAKE APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES TO COMPLETE
The following information is required to complete the counseling sessions:
* Social Security Number
* Driver's license number
* Name, address, telephone number of parent(s)/legal guardian
* Name, address, telephone number of two adult references who reside at a different address from parent/legal guardian, and the borrower have known for at least three years
* If applicable, name, address, telephone number of expected employer(s)
After completion of the on line session(s), borrowers may attend a Group Session for follow up questions, or schedule an individual session with a loan counselor.

Failure to complete your mandatory on-line Exit Counseling, may prohibit you from receiving your diploma.
