David Weston ’06 of Bedford, MA, loves the
great outdoors. It makes perfect sense that he’s found a major
by combining environmental
studies and biology.
Aside from
the strength of academics and educational resources offered in both
the biology and environmental studies fields, David Weston ’06 was
attracted to St. Lawrence by its location. “I am very active in
the outdoors and have a strong spiritual connection with nature and the environment,” says
Weston. “St. Lawrence’s rural setting and proximity to the Adirondacks
catered to that need.”
After completing the Adirondack Semester and
being heavily involved with the Outing Club and Outdoor Program,
Weston says his most memorable moments have occurred in the Adirondacks
or in the North Country woods. “All of
my outdoor experiences, whether rock climbing, hiking in the Adirondacks,
or going to Lampson Falls, have made an impact on me,” says
Weston.
Weston hopes to continue working for the Outdoor Program
and be an active member of the Outing Club, “by not only teaching
students outdoor skills but
also showing them a safe, educational and enjoyable time in the outdoors.”
