Those persons are age 65 and older; persons under 65 with underlying chronic medical conditions, including pulmonary or heart disease, asthma, diabetes, kidney disease, blood abnormalities, or immunosuppression; and women who will be pregnant during the influenza season. In addition, individuals who can transmit influenza to high-risk individuals should also receive influenza vaccine. (This includes) household contacts and care-givers of children less than 6 months, and health care workers with direct patient contact. If you are an individual in one of the above categories, please contact the Student Health Center to schedule a time to receive an influenza vaccine. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
