Announcements
Flu Shot Update: The following was distributed on campus last week by Patricia

government and St. Lawrence County Public Health requests, the regularly scheduled
flu clinics have been suspended. We will still offer influenza vaccines to
those persons in high-risk categories as defined by the Centers for Disease
Control. Those persons are age 65 and older; persons under 65 with underlying
chronic medical conditions, including pulmonary or heart disease, asthma, diabetes,
kidney disease, blood abnormalities, or immunosuppression; and women who will
be pregnant during the influenza season. In addition, individuals who can transmit
influenza to high-risk individuals should also receive influenza vaccine. (This
includes) household contacts and care-givers of children less than 6 months,
and health care workers with direct patient contact. If you are an individual
in one of the above categories, please contact the Student Health Center to
schedule a time to receive an influenza vaccine. Thank you for your understanding
and patience. We will resume regularly scheduled clinics when advised to do
so.” For information: Patricia Ellis, pellis@stlawu.edu or 5392.
