Camp Director: Mike Mahoney

Mike Mahoney took over the head coaching duties for men's lacrosse in the fall of 1997. Under Mahoney, the Saints experienced immediate success and have continued to excel, winning ECAC Upstate Championships in 2001 and 2002 as well as Liberty League titles in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. He enters the season as the 10th winningest active head coach in Division III.

Entering the 2012 campaign, Mahoney has posted a 144-68 (.679) record in the past 14 seasons, with 11 of those teams earning post-season bids. Mahoney coached his team to the NCAA Tournament's Second Round four straight seasons ('06-'09) after winning the Liberty League Tournament. With his team on a 32-game winning streak in the Liberty League, Mahoney was named the conference's "Coach of the Year" in 2009.

St. Lawrence defeated Endicott College 13-10 in the opening round of the 2006 tournament before falling to Geneseo in the Regionals. The victory over Endicott was the team's first ever NCAA Touranment win. No. 5 St. Lawrence then hosted Cortland State in the second round of the 2007 NCAA Tournament, which was the first NCAA Men's Lacrosse game to be played at North Country Field. St. Lawrence also hosted a second round NCAA Tournament game in 2008 against Western New England College. Mahoney then guided the Saints to a 2009 NCAA First Round victory over Nazareth, which was the program's first ever NCAA Tournament win at North Country Field.

Girls Field Director: Dave Bradman

Dave, the new head coach of the women's lacrosse team at SUNY Canton, retired as the head boys lacrosse coach at Canton High School in 2008 after amassing 364 wins. He was inducted into the Upstate New York Chapter of the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2008.

Kyle Benton

Kyle, a 2009 graduate of St. Lawrence University, returned to his alma mater as the assistant men's lacrosse coach in the summer of 2011.

During Benton's time playing for Coach Mahoney, the Scarlet and Brown went to four straight NCAA Tournaments. He earned Liberty League All-Academic honors three straight years while majoring in philosophy.

Following his graduation, Kyle served as an assistant coach for the men's lacrosse program at Widener University.

 

John Galassi

John Galassi, a graduate of Lafayette College, joined the St. Lawrence men's lacrosse coaching staff in the summer of 2011.

Galassi earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in May of 2009 from Lafayette, where he played on the men's lacrosse team. In 51 career games with the Leopards, John had 49 goals and 14 assists for 63 points.

Prior to coming to St. Lawrence, Galassi worked as the assistant head coach of the men's lacrosse team at Riverdale Country School in Bronx, NY.

 

Sam Bradman

Sam, a graduate of Canton high school and son of Dave Bradman, is currently a senior at Salisbury University. He is a two-time all-American midfielder for the defending national champions. He was MVP of the national title game last year and was also a first-team all-American with 55 goals and 23 assists for 78 points. As a junior, Sam was also a first-team all-American, as well as the midfilder of the year in the nation and the Colonial Athletic Conference Player of the Year with 58 goals and 28 assists for 86 points.
