St. Lawrence University and the Information Technology department invite applications for a full time Technology Support Specialist. This position supports academic instruction through technology and plays an integral role in campus-wide technology support and planning. The successful candidate will be adaptable, self-directed, have strong communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, a broad range of technical skills, and a solid grasp of current technology.
Qualifications: Experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software, managing multiple Windows and Macintosh systems, printers, projectors and other classroom technology in an Active Directory environment is required. Strong attention to detail and the ability to make quick and accurate decisions is essential to be effective in this position. Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of computing technology experience, or an equivalent combination of education and technology experience required. This position requires operating a University vehicle, lifting/carrying equipment (up to 50 lbs) and utilizing catwalks/ladders to perform necessary tasks.
