St. Lawrence University seeks to fill a full time, seasonal, Dining Services Leader position in Dining and Conference Services. The Leader supervises all phases of food preparation and service, including training of personnel, ordering basic materials, preparation and service to customers. Assigns work schedules, maintains records as directed and may supervise catered functions. Primary work hours are 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., including weekend shifts. Qualifications: High School diploma (or equivalent) required. Preferred: Associates degree, minimum of 2 years training in food service & Safe Serve certification. Minimum of 3 years in food service establishment required. Equivalent combination of education in food service field and experience in food service may be considered. Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to coordinate work of others. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, co-workers and the campus community. Support a positive work environment through teamwork honesty, approachability and a commitment to customer service. Knowledge and ability to operate all mechanical equipment used in food service operations. Ability to move ten pounds or more required. Bending required. Ability to develop positive and productive working relationships with management and co-workers.
