Dining & Conference Services: Catering FSG
St. Lawrence University has an opening for a full time, seasonal, Catering Food Service Generalist. Under the supervision of the catering and unit managers, the person in this position is responsible for preparation and execution of special and VIP functions including equipment, dishes, linen, food preparation and function set-up and clean-up. The position demands a high level of professionalism and customer service. Secondary responsibilities include duties within dining unit, train temporary student wait staff and drive catering vehicle as needed. Qualifications: High School diploma (or equivalent) required. One to two years of catering and/or restaurant waiting experience preferred. Bending and ability to lift 20+ pounds and stand or walk for several hours at a time required. Must meet University requirements to serve alcohol and drive. Must be organized and detail oriented, work well under pressure, and work a flexible schedule. Operation of food production and dishwashing equipment required.
