Assistant Professor, Experimental Psychology/Research Methods

A tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level is available beginning in the fall semester of 2013 at St. Lawrence University.  We seek a person with expertise in one of the following specialties: Learning, Behavioral Genetics, Psychopharmacology, or Addiction.  The position will entail teaching a course with laboratory in the individual’s specialty area in one semester and Research Methods with laboratory in the other.  The successful candidate would also offer one section of Introductory Psychology each semester, though opportunities to substitute a specialty course for a section of Introductory can occur.  The Psychology department has 11 full-time faculty members, one academic support person, and approximately 160 junior/senior majors.

Applicants should have their Ph.D. by September 1, 2013, though ABD candidates may be considered.  Hard copies of an application letter, vita, original teaching evaluations (if available), representative preprints/reprints, and three letters of reference should be sent to:  Experimental Search Chair, Department of Psychology, St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY 13617-1475.

The deadline for the receipt of applications is December 3, 2012. Applications received after this deadline may be reviewed, but only in the event that the position has not already been filled.
