Visiting Assistant Professor of Education &
Coordinator of the Educational Leadership Program

St. Lawrence University's Education Department seeks a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Education and Coordinator for its Educational Leadership Program, starting on August 15, 2013.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinating the graduate-level state-approved Educational Leadership Program; teaching courses for the Program and as needed in the Education Department; advising and mentoring students in the Program; placing and supervising interns; overseeing the Program’s assessment and accreditation; developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with local schools; and performing other related duties as assigned by the department chair.

Required qualifications:
A Ph.D. or Ed.D. from an accredited institution in PK-12 Educational Leadership, Educational Administration, or a closely related field.  Candidates with ABD and expected completion before August 15, 2013 will be considered.  Successful candidates must have at least three years of successful administrative experience in PK‐12 settings (e.g., principal, supervisor, superintendent).

Desired qualifications:
Certification in a specific area of PK‐12 educational leadership; PK-12 teacher certification and teaching experience; experience in the graduate-level education of school leaders and program development; and experience in educational technologies as well as distance education and other alternative program delivery formats.
