Government/African Studies:
Assistant Professor in African Politics/Comparative Politics/International Relations
The Government Department and the African Studies program at St. Lawrence University invite applications for a joint tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate should have broad training in International Relations and Comparative Politics with a specialization in African politics. He/she should be able to teach lower and upper – division courses in International Relations and Comparative Politics as well as courses in African politics and the politics of development to be cross-listed with African Studies. Candidates able to contribute to the interdisciplinary and off-campus focus of the African studies program are especially encouraged to apply.
This appointment is scheduled to begin August 15, 2012. Please submit letters expressing interest in the position, vita, sample syllabi for two relevant courses, evidence of successful teaching, graduate transcript, and three letters of recommendation to Patty A.
