Visiting Assistant Professor African/Francophone Studies
The Modern Languages and Literatures Department at St. Lawrence University invites applications for a one-year visiting position, potentially renewable for up to three years, at the assistant professor level in African Studies and Francophone Studies with a specialization in West African literature. The position involves teaching six courses a year, including language courses in French at all levels and courses in literature and culture taught in English and in French. Ph.D. in hand or near completion; native or near native fluency in French and English; college teaching experience preferred. The candidate must possess commitment to undergraduate education and readiness to demonstrate leadership in sustaining our programs. Position begins August 2010.
