Tenure-Track Position in Cell Biology
The Biology Department at St. Lawrence University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Cell Biology starting fall 2010 at the Assistant Professor level. A Ph.D. is required; post-doctoral and previous teaching experience, especially in a liberal arts and science environment is preferred. We especially welcome applications from candidates who bring diverse cultural and ethnic perspectives to the University.
The successful candidate will teach cell biology, immunology, courses in their area of specialty, and on a rotating basis the cell biology and/or genetics portions of our introductory biology course. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a productive research program that provides meaningful research experiences to our undergraduate students.
Candidates need to submit a letter of application, CV, statement of teaching experience and philosophy, and statement of research interests. In addition, candidates should arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent in support of their application.
