Dennis Morreale ’07 loves St. Lawrence, academically
and socially. Dennis Morreale’07 from Corinth, N.Y.,
and a graduate of Corinth High School, did not have to look very
far from home to find “a perfect match in terms of what I
wanted to do academically, size of the enrollment, and the type
of community.”
A history and government major, Dennis was one of the 25 students
selected as University
fellows for summer 2006. He worked with Professor Karl Schonberg
of government on a research project entitled “Russia
and Ukraine: Security Concerns in the 21st Century.” He says
he thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working on a project he,
himself, had designed, adding, “What was interesting about
it was that by the time I was finishing, I was writing about things
that had not happened yet when I had started eight weeks earlier.”
Besides being interested in the political affairs of the former Soviet
Union, Dennis is involved in the activities of one of St. Lawrence’s
student-run theme cottages, Greenhouse.
His love for history entices him to get involved in programs that the
history honorary society organizes.
