Dr. Linda Bartoshuk spoke about supertasters during Annual Church Lecture in Neuroscience
Our guest speaker this year was Dr. Linda Bartoshuk from the University of Florida. Her lecture took place on Tuesday October 19th in Hepburn Auditorium. Linda studies taste sensation in humans and has discovered different genetic variations of tasters. In particular, her research has identified individuals who are extremely sensitive to some tastes and they are called ‘supertasters’. In case you are interested in reading more, here is some brief information on Dr. Bartoshuk from the National Academy of Sciences website.
