Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY: Students accepted to the SURF (Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship) program will carry out research under the supervision of an established biomedical scientist, write a research paper and have the opportunity to see their work published. Yale University, Center for Research on Interface Structures and Phenomena: Yale CRISP REU is accepting applications for the Summer of 2013. Current research topics range from thin film growth and characterization to friction and manipulation at the atomic level with projects involving computation, simulation, fabrication, characterization and image processing.
