The fifth NSF-sponsored Undergraduate ALFALFA Workshop was held at the Arecibo Observatory on January 15 - 18, 2012. The Workshop is part of the NSF-sponsored Undergraduate ALFALFA Team program to promote undergraduate research within the ALFALFA project. Attendees are given tours of the telescope, and operate it during observing runs. The Workshop was attended by 33 students and their faculty mentors from 14 undergraduate institutions. Heather Cutler '12 made her third trip to Arecibo (the others were November 2010 and January 2011) with SLU astronomers Aileen O'Donoghue and Jeffrey Miller.
