In celebration of Brain Awareness Week, St. Lawrence University hosted the ninth-annual Brain Blast event on March 31 in the Johnson Hall of Science.
Brain Blast features faculty and students leading various hands-on and interactive exhibits, highlighting brain function as well as neuroscience research being conducted at St. Lawrence. Local school district students visited various exhibits to learn about the lobes of the brain, sensation and perception, and more.
Brain Awareness Week is a global campaign founded by the Dana Foundation's Alliance for Brain Initiatives to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research. The St. Lawrence’s event was sponsored by St. Lawrence’s neuroscience program, the biology honorary society Beta Beta Beta and the psychology honorary society Psi Chi.
