Staging of Romeo & Juliet In Collaboration With A Polish Theatre Group Studio Matejka from Wroclaw
Prof. Charlie Pepiton will hold auditions for Romeo & Juliet on Tuesday & Wednesday, November 12 - 13 at 7:00pm in Gulick Theatre.
Tuesday will be the general auditions. Wednesday will [mainly] be reserved for callbacks. However, if you absolutely cannot make it Tuesday, please feel free to come on Wednesday.
The final cast list will be posted on the PCA call-board in Griffiths and on Facebook by Friday, Nov. 14th at noon.
The production will rehearse within a production workshop course. All actors will earn 1 full credit for their participation. Keep in mind that the production will count as one of your 4 Spring courses. There is no prerequisite for the course, but auditions are required.
The production will be created in collaboration with 3 members of Studio Matejka, a dance theatre company from Wroclaw, Poland. (http://www.studiomatejka.com/) Performers who know how to move are STRONGLY encouraged to audition!
We will rehearse 15 hours per week from Jan. 20-April 5. The final weekly rehearsal schedule will be based upon the actors' class schedules. Pay no mind to the MWF 2-5p timeslot listed elsewhere. However, we WILL rehearse during a combination of daytime and evening hours. Please come to auditions will an idea of what your Spring 2014 schedule looks like. This is very important.
If you have questions or want more information, please email me. I'd love to talk with you more about it.
There is no need to prepare anything for the auditions, but it is always a good idea to read the play. (http://shakespeare.mit.edu/romeo_juliet/full.html)
