Mainstage: Dark Water

Tuesday - Sunday, April 3 - 8 at 8 pm
Edson R. Miles Black Box Theater (Griffiths 107-108)

Dark Water by David Stallings is a lyrical fable that explores the impact of Deep Water Horizons oil spill on the animals and landscape of the gulf and gulf coast. The play’s heroine Barnacle, a sea turtle, embarks on a quest to rescue her children from the dangers posed above and below the water’s surface as the dark water edges ever closer. In order to underscore the environmental themes of the show, University Theatre is producing this piece using sustainable/green(er) production practices.

Free admission. Open to the public. Tickets are required and are available at: www.stlawu.edu/performance-and-communication-arts OR the Gulick Box Office will be open M-F, March 26-30 from 1-5 pm.
