“With one son recently graduated and one attending St. Lawrence, we still remember the college admissions process well. St. Lawrence’s admissions programming, office and staff easily ranked with the best among the schools we visited with our sons. Furthermore, we enjoyed the very successful summer sendoffs and highly recommend these events to new first-year students.”

Steve and Daurene Scullen III P’13
“We have been very impressed with the atmosphere on the campus. This appears to be the result of a great physical plant, but more important is the manner in which the whole community conducts itself. We want to contribute to the community ourselves, but given our location can get to the campus only occasionally. We are very excited about the new facilities on campus and are pleased to be able to offer our support for both current and future students.”

Scott and Tammy Smith P’12, ’15
“The St. Lawrence parents we call are consistently impressed with the University’s concern for the academic, social and emotional well-being of their children. Everyone -- President Fox, faculty, staff and alumni -- supports the student in every way possible to help make their experience a positive one.”

Lissa Scull Short ’83, P’15
“I have interacted with St. Lawrence students through hosting internships, conducting informational interviews and participating in the Shadow-a-Saint program. I have found the students to be smart,
articulate and well-prepared. As a student, St. Lawrence gave me so much. As an alum, I feel a responsibility to help the next generation of Laurentians be successful in developing their careers. Helping students get a leg up in the competitive job market means a lot to them. It’s not very time consuming for me, and the relationships I’ve
developed with students over the years have enriched my St. Lawrence experience greatly.”

Gordon and Patti Barrett P’10, ’14, ’15
“By being part of the Parents Committee the last five years we have had the wonderful opportunity to see first-hand that the parents of St. Lawrence absolutely care about the college that their children have chosen. No sooner do parents drop their children off for their first year then we are planning to return for graduation. The parents at St. Lawrence are active with their child’s experience on many levels and the Parents Committee provides another avenue for involvement. The generosity of Parents Committee members can be seen day in and day out at St. Lawrence.”

Larry Schembri and Betsy Springer P’13
“As part of the Parents Committee, we have attended a reception at President Fox’s house, listened to senior staff and faculty speak at breakfasts held in St. Lawrence’s wonderful facilities, and met other parents at a reception prior to attending a spirited Saints’ hockey game with our daughter ... all in her first year! The opportunity to meet senior members of the administration and get a taste of campus life has made us feel part of the St. Lawrence community.”

Tad and Eileen Smith P’13, ’14
“St. Lawrence is a welcome breath of fresh air in the highly competitive world our children face today. They truly care about the whole person, which is reflected in a well-balanced student body, a diverse liberal arts curriculum and a broad offering of extracurricular activities. The loyalty and commitment of the students and alumni also speaks volumes of the school’s culture.”
