Mid-Semester Break Climbing Trip
THE GUNKS: New Paltz, NY
This four-day course took place in October 2008 on the world-class cliffs of the Shawangunks in Southern New York. With the help of three guides, 6 students learned how to negotiate 300-foot climbs, manage ropes and gear, and belay in different methods to make climbing several pitches fun, safe, and comfortable.
