Sunday: 6-9pm
Monday-Thursday: 11-1pm, 4-10pm
Friday-Saturday: 4-7pm

Intro Clinics:
Monday and Saturday from 4-5:30pm

Special Notes

  • Waiver must be read and signed.
  • Small Groups using the wall must limit their size to 4 children and 1-2 adults.
  • Children under 12 must have a parent or guardian present and supervising.
  • Check in with climbing instructors about open climbing during clinic times.
  • Individuals, who want to climb at the wall during normal wall times, must be certified during an intro clinic,
    held on Mondays and Saturday from 4:00 - 5:30 pm.

Daily Rates

  • SLU students/faculty/staff may use the climbing wall free of charge during wall hours.
  • Day passes can be acquired from the Newell front desk for $10 ($5 for alumni). Day pass includes fitness center and climbing wall usage for that day only.
  • The climbing wall provides climbing shoes and harnesses. Personal equipment must be approved for use by wall staff on duty.

Group Policies

  • Groups are invited and encouraged to arrange times to use the wall on Saturdays and Sundays. Groups may reserve the wall any
    time in the 12-3:30pm time frame.
  • Two weeks minimum notice for group reservations.
  • Groups may be formal, such as a scout troop, or informal, such as a birthday party.
  • Your time at the wall includes equipment, supervision, and belayers or an Introduction Course.  If the participants are under 12 or you are short on time, our staff can belay for you.  Otherwise, we recommend and Introduction Course wherein participants learn how to belay for one another (which benefits them for future wall use). With larger groups, we encourage additional chaperones from your group or organization.
  • All participants must have a waiver filled out by parent or legal guardian if they are younger than 18.

Group Rates

  • SLU groups (sports teams, residence halls, Greek and Theme Houses, etc.) may reserve and use the wall free of charge.
  • Non-SLU groups and Augsbury members are charged based on length of time and number of participants; fee includes equipment and
    instruction.
    • Up to 10 participants: $75/hour
    • Up to 15 participants: $100/hour
    • Up to 20 participants: $125/hour
  • Any cancellations must be made by noon on the Thursday preceding your event by contacting Katie Craig (kcraig@stlawu.edu). No-shows will be charged a $20 fee.
