Natural Anchors and Rappel Techniques

Looking for some skills to climb on your own? This course will cover all the necessities of setting up top rope anchors with natural protection. The Adirondacks offer incredible playgrounds for easy access top rope set ups off trees and boulders. This will also include rappel techniques using an ATC, Munter, along with friction hitches (Prussic, kleimheist etc), to better manage your rappel. Participants will set up their own top ropes, practice rappelling, and of course climb!
