Whitewater Kayaking

The North Country is threaded with swift rivers tumbling out of the nearby Adirondack Mountains into the St. Lawrence Valley offering dozens of whitewater runs on rivers such as the St. Regis, Grasse, Raquette, and Oswegatchie. While one could spend four years alone exploring the local rivers, not to far away are classics such as the Ottawa, Black, and Moose. Whether it's working on surfing at hole brothers and the Ottawa or learning to roll on the Little River, we've got something for everyone. Our Instructional Progressions are geared toward people with little or no experience and provide participants with the skills and techniques they need to safely enjoy whitewater. Afternoon and weekend river trips vary in difficulty from novice to advanced, and focus on refinement of eddy turns, ferries, rolls, and "river reading" skills.
