Climbing Program

Rock, mountain, ice, and indoor wall climbing are all components of the SLU Outdoor Program climbing curriculum. From overnight excursions to ten-day trips, these courses teach you the skills to get started and eventually be self sufficient in the mountains or on the rock. Rock climbing courses are run in the nearby Adirondacks, Gatineaus, Shawangunks and Mount Rumney as well as on-campus at the Munro Climbing Wall. Mountain and ice climbing courses take place at Mount Washington and in the Adirondacks.
Extended courses during Spring and Winter Breaks take place in Smith Rock, Oregon, El Potrero Chico, Mexico on El Pico de Orizaba in Mexico.
These courses are aimed at all levels, from beginners to advanced climbers.
