St. Lawrence Elects John D. Richardson '03 To Board Of Trustees
CANTON - John D. Richardson, a 2003 graduate of St. Lawrence University, has been elected to a four-year term on the Board of Trustees, effective July 1.
A resident of Cambridge, MA, Richardson is a senior underwriter for Arbor Commercial Mortgage Company in Boston, a national direct lender that provides debt and equity capital for the multifamily, commercial real estate, and healthcare industries. Prior to his current position, he was an assistant vice president in the commercial real estate division of Citizens Bank.
Richardson, a native of Canton, is the son of the late Emeritus Professor of Economics David Richardson, who died in 2005, and the late Ann Richardson. A graduate of Canton's Hugh C. Williams High School, Richardson began his college career at Connecticut College, transferring to St. Lawrence for his final two years. As an undergraduate, he was the assistant women's lacrosse coach; inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and economics honor society; and was the recipient of the John W. Hannon '44 Honors Award in Economics and the Class of 1934 Scholarship Award in History. Richardson graduated summa cum laude with majors in economics and history. In 2006, he and his three sisters established the David Richardson Scholarship Fund at St. Lawrence, in honor of their father.
