APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE FOR SLU YOUNG WRITERS CONFERENCE

CANTON -- Applications are available now for St. Lawrence University's 
Young Writers Conference, to be held September 8 through 10 at the 
Canaras Conference Center in the Adirondacks.
	The conference offers outstanding high school writers from the 
region an opportunity to participate in a series of workshops and 
discussions with working writers in a variety of genres. Current high 
school sophomores and juniors are eligible to apply.
	Students interested in applying to attend the conference should 
obtain an application from guidance counselors or English teachers, or 
contact conference director Neal Burdick, at 315-229-5585.
