APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE FOR SLU YOUNG WRITERS CONFERENCE

CANTON - Applications are available now for St. Lawrence University's Young Writers Conference, to be held September 8 through 10 at the Canaras Conference Center in the Adirondacks.

The conference offers outstanding high school writers from the region an opportunity to participate in a series of workshops and discussions with working writers in fiction, creative non-fiction and poetry. Students who are currently high school sophomores and juniors are eligible to apply; the deadline for applications is March 31.

Students interested in applying to attend the conference should obtain an application from the chairperson of the English department at their school, or contact conference director Neal Burdick, at 315-229-5585. Home-schooled students are also welcome, and may contact Burdick for information and applications.
