Writers Series Presents Kirsten Kaschock Feb. 27
The St. Lawrence University Writers Series will present Viebranz Visiting Professor of Creative Writing Kirsten Kaschock at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Sykes Common Room.
Kaschock is the author of two books of poetry, Unfathoms (Slope Editions) and A Beautiful Name for a Girl (Ahsahta Press). Her debut novel, Sleight, a work of speculative fiction, was published in 2011 by Coffee House Press.
Her most recent manuscript, The Dottery, won the Donald Hall Prize for poetry from the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) and will be published this year by the University of Pittsburgh Press.
Kaschock earned a Ph.D. in English from the University of Georgia and a Ph.D. in dance from Temple University. She is currently teaching at St. Lawrence University. When, not in the North Country, Kaschock resides in Philadelphia with Dan Marenda and their three children.
